Brenan Chaffee holds Ph.D. degree and he is a computer science professor (and previous statistics professor) at the University of London. His academic interests include parallel processing and statistical regression, and he is the author of several popular Web tutorials on software development. He is also a member of the International Statistical Institute. He is the author of over 128 articles published in various statistical journals, as well as eleven other books on statistics. Brenan Chaffee has extensive experience in data mining and data analysis with a variety of firms, including Double click and VeriSign. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and electrical engineering from MIT. She holds multiple patents for computer security and cryptography and is the author of Baseball Hacks. She is now a senior data scientist. Harold Hardwick is the inventor of WRS, a R package for performing robust statistical procedures. His primary research interests are R for Programmers, statistical approaches, notably robust methods for comparing groups and exploring relationships. Harold Hardwick has been writing for almost 7 years. He is the author of approximately nine books. He also publishes magazine and Internet articles, talks, and technical studies.
